5.9.8TRANSMISSIONHEALTHMONITOR(TM).Thisprognosticfeature
determinesclutchlifestatusofthetransmission’sclutchesandalertsyouwhen
clutchmaintenanceisrequired.Ithelpsavoidcostlyrepairsanddowntimeby
takingtheguessworkoutofschedulingroutinetransmissionmaintenance,
anditensuresyourtransmissionisoperatingatitsmaximumperformance
level.Theclutchlifestatusisdeterminedbymonitoringthecumulative
changesandthecalculatedrunningclearanceofthetransmissionclutches.
5.9.8.1CLUTCHMAINTENANCENOTIFICATION
TheTMfeaturedetermineswhenclutchmaintenanceisneeded.Ifanyofthe
clutches(exceptlockup)reachesaremaininglifeofapproximately10%or
ifanyoftheclutchrunningclearances(exceptlockup)exceedsamaximum
value,thentheTRANSSERVICEindicatorintheshiftselectorissteadily
illuminatedfromjustafterignitiononuntilignitionisturnedoff.IfTMmodehas
beenaccessedviatheshiftselector,a“TRANSHEALTHOK”or“TRANS
