relatedtotheconditiongoesinactive.TheMONITORdisplayshows
therangethetransmissionhaslockedinbecauseofanactive
DTC.TheSELECTdisplaygoesblankwhentheCHECKTRANS
indicatorison.Movethevehicletoasafelocationbeforeturning
offthevehicleandseekqualiedassistanceifneeded.Evenifthe
transmissionisnotinN(Neutral),theoperatorwillbeabletoview
DTCsbysimultaneouslypressingthe↑(Upshift)and↓(Downshift)
arrows,ifequippedwiththekeypadpushbuttonshiftselector,or
bypressingtheDISPLAYMODE/DIAGNOSTIC(DMD)button,if
equippedwiththebump-shiftleverselector.
WithanAllisonTransmission,theshiftselectorisusedbytheoperatorto
selectN(Neutral),R(Reverse),orarangeofforwardgears.Whenaforward
rangehasbeenselected,thetransmissionstartsinthelowestgearofthe
rangeand,asconditionspermit,automaticallyupshiftstothehighestgearin
theselectedrange.Selected7-speedmodelsinthe4000Seriesofferan
optionfortworeversegears–thestandardreversegearratioandanoptional
