Starting QuizDesigner
Once you’ve installed QuizDesigner, you can start the program so that you
can begin creating quizzes.
On Windows Computers:
Click Start or Programs (or All Programs) AlphaSmart
QuizDesigner QuizDesigner.
On Macintosh Computers:
Open the Applications folder, then the QuizDesigner folder. Double-click
QuizDesigner.
About the Options in QuizDesigner
QuizDesigner is the program you use to create the quizzes that students will
take in AlphaQuiz on the NEO. Once you’ve installed QuizDesigner, you can
use it to create or change quizzes and print them as needed.
You can create quizzes on almost any subject, and your quizzes can be short
or long, simple or complex, for students at any level. You can reuse the
quizzes you create for multiple classes, revise them, and share them with
other teachers.
In QuizDesigner, you can create quizzes with these question types:
•True/false
• Multiple-choice
• Short answer (up to 18 characters)
• Essay (with the maximum number of words you set)
You can also place these restrictions on how students use their NEOs during a
quiz:
• Prevent students from using the Calculator SmartApplet.
• Prevent students from using the NEO’s spell check feature.
• Require the use of an access password and student passwords to maintain
test security and to make sure that only assigned students take the quiz.
