Tighten the grounding screws according to the instructions given in the Ground Cables section
(see page 69).
z Ensure that the resistance to Ground is 1 Ohm or less.
z When grounding several drives, you must connect each one directly, as shown in the above figure.
z Do not loop Ground cables or connect them in series.
DANGER
ELECTRIC SHOCK CAUSED BY INSUFFICIENT GROUNDING
This product has an increased leakage current >3.5 mA.
z Use a protective ground conductor with at least 10 mm

(AWG 6) or two protective ground conductors
with the cross section of the conductors supplying the power terminals.
z Verify compliance with all local and national electrical code requirements as well as all other applicable
regulations with respect to grounding of all equipment.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
INSUFFICIENT PROTECTION AGAINST OVERCURRENTS
z Properly rated overcurrent protective devices must be used.
z Use the fuses specified in the annex provided with the drive.
z Do not connect the product to a supply mains whose short-circuit current rating (SCCR) exceeds the
permissible value specified in the annex provided with the drive.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.
