7.11 Locking brake
The vibration roller is equipped with an automatic locking brake.
The brakes for the drive motors work:
When the supply pressure falls below 12 bar.
When you activate the emergency-stop button.
When you press the Emergency Stop button a valve reduces supply pressure
and the brakes take immediate effect.
When you activate the parking brake.
When you activate the parking brake, a valve reduces the supply pressure and
the brakes take immediate effect.
The locking brake closes automatically when the diesel engine is switched off.
NOTE Brake wear due to unnecessary emergency stops!
In order to save the brakes from unnecessary wear, only perform an
emergency stop in emergency situations when driving.
Only use the locking brake in special cases, e.g. when you stop on a slope.
If the roller starts to roll, move the operating lever slightly in the opposite
direction, so that the vehicle is kept still hydrostatically.
