Dual mono / Bi-Amping
Dual mono requires the use of two channels of the
P429 for each speaker, as shown in the diagram
below.
In this setup, only one interconnect is required for
each pair of channels. The L and R output of the two
channels of your audio/video device (such as the
Arcam 550/850) should be connected to the IN1 and
IN3 input of the P429, respectively.
WARNING: the strip of metal on the speakers connecting
the low frequency (LF) terminals to the high frequency (HF)
terminals MUST BE REMOVED. Failure to do so will result
in damage to both ampliers, which will not normally be
covered under warranty.
