2.4.6 Assigning direct keys
The direct keys (hereinafterDK) are the product pushbuttons programmed for execu-
tion of certain function. The function configuration of the product pushbuttons is carried
out from the administrator personal computer with the installed software “Software con-
figuration tool of IPN2 system” RMLT.00041-01. The main options accompanied the set-
ting, supporting and breaking the connection between subscribers are duplex settings
(Possible values: "Off", "Manual" and "Full", and "Priority Level"). Each function, including
the local "Hang Up" function, is assigned a certain priority in the range from the lowest (0)
to the highest (255). It is possible to assign a priority for each direction of the call separate-
ly (indicated on the direct call button), and a general one for all outgoing connections (the
"default priority" parameter in the settings of each device). All connections are in a com-
mon priority field, regardless of the following criteria:
communication protocol: “Armtel-IP” or SIP;
сommunication features such as Direct Call Subscriber or Direct Group
Call”;
communication direction: incoming or outgoing connection.
When several incoming calls occur simultaneously, the priorities are compared, and
the connection with the highest priority is selected.
In the presence of the pushbuttons functions, it is possible to set the additional oper-
ation mode for DK Fixation; with such a mode, it is sufficient to press and release DK to
execute the programmed function. If such a mode is not set, then the user needs to hold
DK for the function execution.
The product local function is a function, whose use does not depend on the type of
signaling protocol SIP or Armtel-IP, such as “Last connection, “Increase the volume”, “De-
crease the volume, etc. Local functions can be used during communication with subscrib-
ers.
2.4.7 List of the product communication modes and functions
2.4.7.1 The product supports two telecommunication protocols SIP (RFC 3261) and
protocol Armtel-IP. The product operation via SIP protocol is carried out through SIP serv-
er. SIP calls are made in both simplex and duplex modes, and calls are received in half-
duplex mode.
2.4.7.2 Simplex communication function is the establishment of connection between
subscribers, where at any given moment the equipment of single subscriber only can oper-
ate in transfer mode. The call is performed by pressing DK with the Subscriber simplex call
function. The function operates via SIP and Armtel-IP protocols. Additionally, with the Sim-
plex communication function the unilateral communication control function can be used,
