12.2 Reset of the PLK8 safety catcher
The triggered safety catcher can be reset by
using an open ended wrench.
Push the spring-pressured lever with the aid of
an open ended wrench downwards.
Manipulate the levers in the shown order:
Tensions lever no. 1 so far that
lever no. 3 and lever no. 2 hook into each other
Normal position after reset:
Check if the tooth of lever no. 1 is OK.
It must be replaced if it’s damaged or abraded!
! A T T E N T I O N !
If the tooth of this lever is damaged or abraded the
safety catcher is no longer functional, and the platform lift may no longer be used.
After resetting the safety catcher check the upper handrail for scratches and notches.
If necessary grind and polish them to have a clean handrail.
