12.3 Testing the PLK8 safety catcher
To check the function of the safety catcher pull
down the spring tensioned lever no. 1 with an
open ended wrench.
Pull lever no. 2 away to release spring tension so that the
safety catcher triggers.
Make now sure that the lever no. 2 and no. 3 can be
moved easily.
After the test, reset the safety catcher according to the
order described in chapter 12.2.
12.4 Removing the drive motor and gearbox
We recommend his work to be carried out by two service
technicians.
The lift must be positioned at the lower station and be standing
on the ground. Ensure that the drive gear wheel is not under
load.
Remove the front plastic cover (see chapter 3).
Remove the lower bolt that’s connecting the platform motor to
the platform.
Disconnect the drive motor and the brake.
Unscrew the four M8 nuts from the front side and slide the
motor out of the front of the lift.
