You may choose from a variety of different
acoustic signals for ringing and alerting
tones.
Note:
Control of the loudspeaker volume and of the
ringing volume is described on page 10.
Ringing volume (7-1-1-8)
If you want to set the ringing volume only,
you have to use the menu. You can select
from 6 volume levels.
Select
Menu > Settings > Sound & Alert >
Ringing > Volume
The current level is displayed in a
bar chart:
Press Select
Scroll to the desired volume level
While adjusting the volume, the
ringing tone is played at the
particular level and the level is
shown in the display
Press
Select
Ringing melody (7-1-1)
You can select from a list of ringing melodies
to set different ringing melodies for
– incoming voice calls
– incoming faxes and data
– High Power Alerting
– alarms
– caller groups
When selecting a ringing melody as de-
scribed below, first the currently active melo-
dy and then the melody of the current list po-
sition is played.
}Melody for incoming voice calls
(7-1-1-1)
You can set the general ringing melody for
all voice calls, except for caller groups you
have assigned to a special melody:
Select
Menu > Settings > Sound & Alert >
Ringing > Voice
The current setting is displayed
Press Change
Scroll to the desired melody
