Bluetooth pairing guide (PAN)
Create a pairing request file
Note!
Apostrophes must be entered correctly: The apostrophe frequently used in
an iPhone name must be represented with the correct Unicode character code
(U+2019), which might be hard to find on your keyboard (at least four different
apostrophe characters exist).
If the name can be shortened and still uniquely identify the device, it is recom-
mended to cut the name before the apostrophe to avoid problems with the
identification.
Example: „Magnus“ can be used instead of the full name „Magnus Flansbjer’s
iPhone“.
1 Create a UTF-8 encoded text file and name it pair.txt.
2 Enter the name of the iPhone in the pair.txt file.
3 Save the file pair.txt in the root folder of a USB memory stick.
Make sure that no configuration files that can be recognized by the Mobile PD
exist in the root folder.
You have created a pairing request file.
