15.2.2 Communication protocol
Description of the operating principle with reference to the
diagram shown below:
• Select the desired dose on the coffee machine.
• The code that corresponds to the selection is sent to the
till (see the code table).
• The till replies with ACK=1H, thus enabling the beverage
to be dispensed.
• The coffee machine dispenses the beverage.
• The till system registers the dispensed beverage.
If the cash register does not identify the code, there is no en-
abling and the delivery is not made, the cash register sends
the NACK=15H code.
Baud rate: 1200, 8 bit + 1 bit Stop. Parity E (even).
