C.5 Reactors
Transient high current in the input power circuit may cause damage to the rectifying components. It
is appropriate to use AC reactor in the input side for the avoidance of high-voltage input of the
power supply and improvement of the power factors.
If the distance between the inverter and the motor is longer than 50m, frequent overcurrent
protection may occur to the inverter because of high leakage current caused by parasitic
capacitance effects from the long cables to the ground. In order to avoid the damage of the motor
insulation, it is necessary to add reactor compensation. If the distance between the inverter and
motor is 50~100m, see the table below for model selection; if it exceeds 100m, consult with ASTOR
technical support.
