Switchable Data Port
If you want to connect another device (such as a modem or fax machine)
to the wall jack, you can use the jack on the phone labeled DATA. You can
set the data port to use Line 1 or 2. Set the DATA SELECT switch
located on the back of the phone to L1 or L2. A call picked up at another
extension on the line used by the data port may interrupt a fax, modem or
message transmission.
Headset Jack
NOTE: Four charged AA batteries MUST be installed for the headset to
work correctly in all conditions.
You can use this phone hands-free when you install any industry standard
two-band 2.5mm headset (purchased separately). For best results, use an
AT&T two-band 2.5mm headset.
Make sure the headset is plugged into the headset jack on the right side
of the phone. You will hear an error tone if you press h when the
headset is not plugged in.
