Troubleshooting
Blocking calls with numbers saved in my block list only.
f If you want to block calls with numbers saved in your block list only, and
allow all other calls to get through to you, change the settings to accept
calls without numbers and uncategorized calls. See Control calls without
numbers on page 85 and Control uncategorized calls on page 86.
Blocking all unknown calls.
f If you want to block all unknown calls with numbers or names that are not
in your directory, allow list or star name list, change the settings to block
calls without numbers and uncategorized calls. See Control calls without
numbers on page 85 and Control uncategorized calls on page 86.
Forwarding all unknown calls to the answering system.
f If you want to forward all unknown calls with numbers or names that
are not in your directory, allow list or star name list to the answering
system, see Control calls without numbers on page 85 and Control
uncategorized calls on page 86 to change the settings.
Incomplete messages.
f If a caller leaves a very long message, part of it may be lost when the system
disconnects the call aer the maximum recording time you have set.
f If the caller pauses for longer than seven seconds, the system stops
recording and disconnects the call.
f If the system’s memory becomes full during a message, the system stops
recording and disconnects the call.
f If the caller’s voice is very so, the system may stop recording and
disconnect the call.
Diculty hearing messages.
f Press p/VOL to increase the telephone base speaker volume.
f Press pDIR/VOLUME to adjust the message playback volume on
a handset.
System does not answer aer the correct number of rings.
f Make sure that the answering system is on. ANS ON should show on the
handset and the /ANSWER ON light on the telephone base should be on.
