Calibration
7.1 Irradiance
A calibration sensor and an adapter table are required for
calibration and adjustment of the irradiance.
SunCal sensors are available as calibration sensors.
Depending on the model, these can be used for the
300 – 800 nm, 300 – 400 nm, or lux wavelength ranges
– to match the respective SUNTEST control (see chap.
11, “Accessories”). Calibration routines with SunCal are
performed on line and are possible with all optical lter
systems.
1. Insert adapter table
with SunCal sensor
into
the test chamber in place of the test table. The arrow
points to the rear wall of the test chamber.
2. Insert the external sensor SunCal
in a way that the
glass dome faces upwards towards the xenon lamp.
3. Feed the SunCal cable below the adapter table
to
the PC and connect the interface.
4. Start the XenoSoft
®
program and ONLINE measure-
ment. Select the correct lter system used following
the prompts of the software.
5. Start or continue the desired test in the SUNTEST
CPS+. Do not program a phase change (dark or ood
phase) during calibration.
CAUTION – Danger of burns
The sensor may be very hot after a measurement.
Therefore, wear protective gloves when reading
or removing the sensor!
6. Wear protective gloves.
7. Interrupt the test with STOP after about 30 minutes.
The SunCal measured value can be entered in the
“Settings/Adjustment/Adjustment E” menu. The new
adjustment factor is calculated and displayed. It is
saved with ENTER.
8. The adjustment factor is automatically taken into con-
sideration in future tests.
NOTE – Calibration intervals
Please adjust the calibration intervals to the actual test
requirements, which can be found in the test standard.
