NOTE – Safety shutdown
The covering hood
of the radiation system contains
a safety switch. The safety switch interrupts the power
supply when the covering hood of the assembly compart-
ment is lifted.
1. Place the covering hood
of the radiation system on
the assembly compartment
2. Tighten the two recessed head screws

5.3 Connection to the power supply
WARNING – Electric shocks
Coming in contact with live parts can result
in a possibly fatal electric shock. Check the
main power supply plug and the supply
cables for damage before connecting
them. If the power cable or the main power
supply plug is damaged, do not connect the
instrument, and immediately inform a factory
trained s
ervice technician.
The SUNTEST
®
instrument has a single-phase power
supply through a 16A power plug with the following para-
meters: 230 V ± 10% at 50 / 60 Hz. The supply network
must be secured for 16 A..
Only operate the SUNTEST
®
CPS+ and the immersion
/ cooling instrument SunCool in separately fused (16A)
circuits. Atlas recommends ELCB protection (DIN VDE
0100 Part 720).
Procedure:
1. Check the supply voltage of the power supply network.
The supply voltage must be the same as specied on
the type label of the instrument.
2. Check whether the supply is secured for 16A. If not,
fuse the system accordingly. A supply system that is
not equipped with the correct fuses may cause electric
shock in the case of failure. Insert the main power
supply plug in a socket that is properly grounded and
equipped with the correct fuses.
