Variable definitions
The following table describes the parameters for the clock time-zone command.
Variable Value
zone Specifies time zone acronym that can be displayed
when showing system time; for example, EST for
Eastern Standard Time.
RANGE: Up to 4 characters
hours Specify the hours difference from UTC.
RANGE: —12 to + 12
minutes Optional minutes difference from UTC.
RANGE: 0–59
no Disables the clock time zone feature
Configuring daylight savings time
Configure the daylight savings time with start and end dates, or disable the daylight savings time
feature.
Procedure
1. Enter Global Configuration mode:
enable
configure terminal
2. At the command prompt, enter the following command:
[no] clock summer-time <zone> [date {<day> <month> <year> <hh:mm>}
{<day> <month> <year> <hh:mm>}] [<offset>]
