About this task
Installation of hardware and software introduces the Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 5000 Series to the
network. Installation tasks include the procedures required to bring the switch online. The procedures
reflect the recommended method to install the 5000 Series switch in the simplest way, with necessary
safety precautions. Installation does not include customized configuration, switch maintenance, or switch
administration.
