•Twocardformatswiththesamebitlengthcannotbeactivethesametime.Forexample,ifyouhavedenedtwo32-bit
cardformats,“FormatA”and“FormatB”,andyouhaveenabled“FormatA”,youcannotenable“FormatB”without
disabling“FormatA”rst.
•Ifnocardformatshavebeenenabled,youcanusetheCardrawonlyandCardrawandPINidenticationtypesto
identifyacardandgrantaccesstousers.However,wedonotrecommendthissincedifferentreadermanufacturers

•Bitlength(required)–Enterthebitlengthofthecardformat.Thishastobeanumberbetween1and1000000000.

•Name(required)–Entertheeldmapnameunspaced,forexampleOddParity.

-Parity–Paritybitsareusedforerrordetection.Paritybitsareusuallyaddedtothebeginningorendofa
binarycodestringandindicateifthenumberofbitsisevenorodd.
-EvenParity–Evenparitybitsmakesurethatthereisanevennumberofbitsinthestring.Thebitsthathave
thevalue1arecounted.Ifthecountisalreadyeven,theparitybitvalueissetto0.Ifthecountisodd,the
evenparitybitvalueissetto1,makingthetotalcountanevennumber.
-OddParity–Oddparitybitsmakesurethatthereisanoddnumberofbitsinthestring.Thebitsthathave

-FacilityCode–Facilitycodesaresometimesusedforverifyingthatthetokenmatchestheorderedenduser
credentialbatch.Inlegacyaccesscontrolsystems,thefacilitycodewasusedforadegradedvalidation,allowing
entrytoeveryemployeeinthecredentialbatchthathadbeenencodedwithamatchingsitecode.Thiseldmap
name,whichiscasesensitive,isrequiredfortheproducttovalidateonfacilitycode.
-CardNr–ThecardnumberoruserIDiswhatismostcommonlyvalidatedinaccesscontrolsystems.Thiseld
mapname,whichiscasesensitive,isrequiredfortheproducttovalidateoncardnumber.
-CardNrHex–Thecardnumberbinarydataisencodedashex-lowercasenumbersintheproduct.Itisprimarily
usedfortroubleshootingwhyyouarenotgettingtheexpectedcardnumberfromthereader.
