Symptom Cause and Remedy
Even when valve plug
is in closed position,
large flow leaks to
downstream side.
• Air leak at actuator section.
• For trial, apply the air supply pressure or atmospheric
pressure to the actuator. (Check the air supply source and
positioner.)
• Check whether the valve plug is actually the closed position
or not. (Check the valve plug lift)
• Check the plug seat ring for corrosion and erosion.
• Check the guide sections for binding.
