BARIGO – Makes the Difference
Standard atmos-
pheric pressure
(hPa)
Standard temperature
(°C)
Caution
The standard atmospheric pressure of all altitudes is based on the
predefined standard temperature. Higher or lower temperatures
cause changes in atmospheric pressure. It is said that a difference
of 1°C leads to a miscalculation of 0.2%. This tends to be because
the altitude reading is lower in summer (high temperatures) and
higher in winter (lower temperatures).
