Abrupt signal change during measurement
An abrupt change to the signal during measurement can have the following causes:
•
a change to the laying depth of the cable route
•
a nodal point at which the signal is distributed in several dir
ections
•
a cable or screen break
•
a cable loop
•
a fault due to earth contact
