top or in the vicinity of hot parts.

» Inordertoavoidtouchingandbeinghurtbyhigh-speedmovingparts,neverrunamotor
with the cover removed.
» Soastoavoidmovingparts,neveraccesstheenginespacewhenenginesarerunning.
» Never remove the guards from moving parts of engines unless the engine is not running.
Information - before starting the engine
» Checkenginecompartmentforfumesandthefuellinesfordamage&leaks.
» Check the bilge water level and check if there are any signs of oil or fuel.
» Ensure that ventilation openings are clear to prevent overheating.
» Ensurethereissufcientfuelfortheanticipatedjourney-includingamarginforcontin-
gencies
» 1.openseacocksneededforcoolingetc.(ifany)
» 2. open the fuel valve
» 3. Set the throttle lever on the neutral posion
For your information: The start-in-gear protection will not allow you to start the engine with the
throttle lever in any other position.
