The KL6041 serial interface enables the connection of devices with an RS422 or RS485 interface. The
device connected to the KL6041 terminal communicates with the automation device via the Bus Coupler.
The active communication channel operates independently of the higher-level bus system in full or half
duplex mode at up to 115.2kbit/s. The differential signal transmission according to RS422 guarantees high
immunity to interference through electrically isolated signals.

LED Color Meaning
RUN green This LED indicates the terminal's operating state:
on normal operation
off A watchdog timer overflow has occurred. The RUN LED goes out if no process
data is transmitted to the terminal from the Bus Coupler for 100ms.
TxD green State of the transmit signal line
RxD green State of the receive signal line
