INTERRUPT
Mounted on the aircraft control
wheel(s), the Control Wheel Switch
Assembly provides pushbutton con-
trols for the Control Wheel Steering
function (flight director synchroniza-
tion) and Autopilot Disconnemrim
Interrupt. The manual electric trim
split rocker switches are also located
on the control wheel switch assembly.

button

Pressing the CWS Push-
button decouples autopilot
servo
clutches, if engaged, and synchroniz-
es
the flight director command bars
with the current vertical and lateral
modes. Selecting Control Wheel
Steering also illuminates a “CWS”
annunciator on the KAP

ciator panel or the EFS

EADI.
Upon release of the pushbutton, the
autopilot
servo
clutches reengage
and the flight director commands atti-
tudes to maintain the current values
set in the engaged modes.
If
the flight director is not en-
gaged, pressing the CWS Pushbutton
activates it in Pitch Attitude Hold and
Roll
Attitude Hold. The flight director
command bar will synchronize to the
attitude present upon pushbutton
re-
lease.

Autopilot Disconnectrrrim Interrupt
Pushbutton -When pressed
momentarily, disengages the autopilot
and cancels all operating flight direc-
tor modes. A tone will sound upon
autopilot disconnect when the push-
button is released.
pilot Disconnectnrim Interrupt Push-
button disengages the autopilot, yaw
damper, suppresses the autopilot dis-
connect tone, and may in some instal-
lations disengage the flight director
and/or interrupt electric trim power.

spli rocker switch controls manual
electric pitch trim and disengages the
autopilot. Moving the switch to the
forward position activates nosedown
trim, while moving it rearward acti-
vates nose-up trim.
Note:
Certain installations may utilize
the original manufacturers electric
pitch trim control.
