KSA 470 Servo Actuators
To manipulate trim surfaces, as
well as elevator, aileron and rudder
controls, the KFC
400 employs
KSA
470 Servo Actuators installed in
the aircraft's fuselage or wing and tail
surfaces. Each
servo assembly
includes a drive motor, clutch mecha-
nism and mounting bracket only;
all
control electronics are centrally
located in the KCP
420 for environ-
mental protection and ease
of
maintenance.
The servo actuator uses a separ-
ate capstan assembly (KSM
475) that
includes a calibrated slip clutch. The
separate capstan allows removal
of
the KSA 470 without the need to
dismantle the capstanhridle cable
assembly.
KDC 481 Central Air Data Computer
The heart of the KAD 480 Air Data
System, the KDC
481 Central Air Data
Computer processes pitot and static
pressures and air temperature inputs,
and supplies the processed informa-
tion
to the KCP 420 Flight Computer,
KAV
485 AltitudeNettical Speed
Indicator, and optional KST
488
Speedflemperature Indicator. In addi-
tion, the KDC
481 supplies the air
data necessary for the KNS
660 Flight
Management System to provide both
manual VNAV guidance and automa-
tic, three-dimensional navigation.
The Central Air Data Computer
uses the KAV
485 AltitudeNertical
Speed Indicator as part of the basic
system.
