1. Disengage autopilot.

2. Follow engine inoperative proce-
dures in airplane operating handbook.
Manual Autopilot Shutdown
In event that the autopilot fails to
shut down automatically due to a
system malfunction, the following
methods will disable the KFC
400
system manually:
1. Autopilot Disconnectrrrim Interrupt
autopilot and yaw damper, and flight
director in some installations, will dis-
engage.
Switch
- PRESS AND HOLD. Both
2. Manual Electric Trim Switch -
MOVE TO FORE OR AFT POSITION,
THEN RELEASE.
Autopilot disen-
gages; flight director remains
operational.
3. Go-Around Pushbutton -PRESS,
THEN RELEASE.
Autopilot disen-
gages; flight director commands a
nose-up attitude.
4. KMC 440 Autopilot Mode Selector
Key
-PRESS, THEN RELEASE.
5. Autopilot Circuit Breaker -
DISABLE.
6. Autopilot Power Switch (if installed)
-Tum OFF.
7. Avionics Master Switch - TURN
OFF.
