G. THREE ESSENTIAL STEPS
1. Water balance
pH must be maintained at 7.2

Adjust pH setpoint at 7.2
Increase pH with some
pH+
Decrease pH with some
pH-
TAC must be maintained at least at
15°F/150mg/l

Use some TAC+
The stabilizer rate should be lower than 15ppm
2. Filtration
• Weekly filter washing
• Annual disinfection and descaling of the sand filter
• Permanent flocculation (for sand filters)
3. Anti-algae treatment: The Redox setpoint at 720mV should maintain a
free chlorine rate at a minimum of 1 ppm
