Exterior Equipment
THE TRANSOM DOOR SHOULD BE CLOSED AND PROPERLY
LATCHED WHENEVER THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. NEVER
OPEN THE TRANSOM DOOR WHILE UNDERWAY OR IN
ROUGH SEA CONDITIONS. IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, AN
OPEN TRANSOM DOOR COULD ALLOW A SUBSTANTIAL
AMOUNT OF WATER TO ENTER THE COCKPIT CREATING A
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION.
OPERATING THE BOAT UNDER POWER WITH THE TRANSOM
DOOR OPEN MAY ALLOW PERSONS TO FALL OVERBOARD
AND INTO BOAT PROPELLER OR TO BE LOST IN OPEN
WATER. ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE TRANSOM
DOOR IS PROPERLY CLOSED AND LATCHED BEFORE
STARTING THE ENGINE AND NEVER OPERATE THE BOAT
UNDER POWER WITH THE TRANSOM DOOR OPEN.
Rod Racks
There are recessed rod storage racks located
below the gunnel on each side of the cockpit.
They are equipped with stretch cords to secure
the rods to the racks. Always make sure the rods
are properly secured in the storage racks with the
rod tips forward.
Stern Bench Seat And Systems
Compartment Hatch
Your boat is equipped with a forward facing bench
seat in the rear of the cockpit. The seat base is
a hinged hatch that opens to provide access to
the aft systems compartment. The batteries, bilge
pump, baitwell pump, raw water pump and fresh
water pump are among the equipment in this
compartment.
A removable cushion is secured to the hatch with
a slide track at the front of the hatch and snaps.
The cushion should be removed and stored when
the boat is not being used.
The hatch is held open by two gas charged springs
and secured closed with a “push to close” latch. It
is opened by squeezing the latch on the starboard
side and lifting the hatch. Always make sure the
hatch is closed and secured with the latch before
operating the boat above idle speed.
