Voice-prompted turn-by-turn
directions
In addition, the device provides
support with voice-prompted turn-
by-turn directions and announces
turns in due time. In the process, it
also announces the names of major
roads and motorways.
To repeat the last voice-prompted
turn-by-turn direction:
Press the
button
B.
Note:
You can also deactivate this voice
output (see p. 24).
If the wind rose is displayed
The wind rose generally points
north. In the following cases, the
wind rose displays instead the
straight line to the destination dur-
ing a destination guidance, and no
additional turn-by-turn directions
follow:
The vehicle is not located on a
"digitised street".
You left the stored corridor.
You left the area stored on the
navigation CD.
In these cases, follow the wind
rose symbol or reinsert the navi-
gation CD.
As soon as you are once again
travelling on a "digitised street",
you receive voice-prompted and
visual turn-by-turn directions.
If you do not follow the turn-by-
turn directions
No problem: If you deviate from the
recommended route, the system au-
tomatically calculates a new route
from the current vehicle position to
the destination. You may be prompt-
ed to insert the navigation CD.
Changing the audio source during
destination guidance
During destination guidance, you
can control the active audio source
using the function buttons (cp. the
table on p. 30) without leaving the
destination guidance display.
If you want to exit the destination
guidance display and change to the
audio source:
During destination guidance,
press the TUN button ? or the
SRC button @.
The destination guidance display
is hidden and the basic menu of
the selected audio source is dis-
played. The destination guidance
remains active, and you continue
to hear the voice-prompted turn-
by-turn directions.
Note:
For CD operation, you must re-
move the navigation CD and in-
sert an audio, MP3 or WMA CD.
To change back to the destination
guidance display:
Press the NAVI button >.
