Why does my Bosch CE025 Heat Pump unit turn off on high pressure control?
    • T
      terrycaitlynAug 11, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump turns off due to high pressure, it could be due to several reasons. In 'COOLING' mode, there might be a lack of or inadequate water flow, the entering water temperature might be too warm, or the condenser might be scaled or plugged. In 'HEATING' mode, there might be a lack of or inadequate air flow, the blower might be inoperative, or there might be a clogged filter or restrictions in the duct work. The unit might also be overcharged with refrigerant, requiring you to reclaim refrigerant, evacuate, and recharge with the factory-recommended charge. Finally, check for a defective or improperly calibrated high-pressure switch.

What to do if my Bosch CE025 Heat Pump blower operates but the compressor does not?
    • J
      Jonathon BrownAug 15, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump's blower is running but the compressor isn't, check the thermostat's settings, calibration, and wiring. Inspect for loose or broken wires at the compressor, capacitor, or contactor. Check the UPM board red default L.E.D. for a Blink Code. If the compressor is cool and the overload won't reset, replace the compressor. If the compressor motor is grounded (internal winding grounded to the compressor shell), replace the compressor and install a suction filter dryer if there's a compressor burnout. After the compressor has cooled, check the continuity of the compressor windings; if the windings are open, replace the compressor.

Why does my Bosch CE025 unit turn off on low pressure control?
    • R
      Robin BennettAug 21, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump shuts down due to low pressure, the suction pressure might be too low. In 'COOLING' mode, this could be due to a lack of or inadequate air flow, or the entering air temperature being too cold. The blower might be inoperative, or there could be a clogged filter or restrictions in the duct work. In 'HEATING' mode, it could be due to a lack of or inadequate water flow, or the entering water temperature being too cold, or a scaled or plugged condenser. The unit might also be low on refrigerant, so check for leaks, repair them, evacuate, and recharge with the factory-recommended charge. Also, check for a defective or improperly calibrated low-pressure switch.

Why does my Bosch Heat Pump short cycle?
    • F
      Frederick BlackwellAug 27, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump is short cycling, it might be oversized, requiring you to recalculate heating and cooling loads. The thermostat might be installed near a supply air grill, so relocate it and readjust the heat anticipator. Also, check for a defective or improperly calibrated low-pressure switch.

What to do if my Bosch Heat Pump is not providing enough cooling or heating?
    • J
      Jacqueline CookOct 31, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump isn't sufficiently cooling or heating, several factors could be responsible. The unit might be undersized, so recalculate heating and cooling loads. Check for air leaks in duct work or around doors and windows. Ensure adequate airflow and replace any dirty filters. The refrigerant charge may be low, which causes inefficient operation. Inspect the compressor for defects; if the discharge is too low and suction pressure is too high, the compressor might need replacing. A defective reversing valve could also be the culprit, creating a bypass of refrigerant. Compare unit operating pressures to the pressure/temperature chart. Check the TXV for restrictions or defects, and replace if necessary. Lastly, the refrigerant system might be contaminated with moisture or nonconde...

What to do if my Bosch CE025 unit does not run at all?
    • A
      austin93Nov 4, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump isn't running, first ensure the power supply is on and the disconnect is closed. Check and replace any blown fuses or reset the circuit breaker, making sure you are using the correct fuses. If the voltage supply is below the minimum specified on the unit's data plate, contact your local power company. To check the thermostat, set the fan to 'ON'; the fan should run. Set the thermostat to 'COOL' at the lowest temperature; the unit should run in cooling mode. Set the unit to 'HEAT' at the highest temperature; the unit should run in heating mode. If neither the blower nor the compressor runs in all three cases, the thermostat might be miswired or faulty. Verify 24 volts are available on the condensing section's low-voltage terminal strip between 'R' and 'C', 'Y' and 'C...
