Why won't my Bosch GTS18V-08 start?
    • D
      Darren RodriguezJul 28, 2025
There are several reasons why your Bosch Saw might not start. It could be that the Battery Pack is not attached or not fully inserted, the thermal protection in the circuit board may have tripped and needs to cool down, or the Battery Pack has discharged and needs to be charged or replaced. The temperature of the Battery Pack may also be outside the normal operating range, or the Electronic Motor Protection may have turned the tool off, requiring you to disconnect and replace the Battery Pack.

Why Bosch GTS18V-08 Saw blade does not come up to speed?
    • K
      kimberly62Aug 1, 2025
The blade of your Bosch Saw might not reach full speed if the Battery Pack has a low charge, in which case you should charge it. Alternatively, the Battery Pack may be nearing the end of its life and reducing output, so consider replacing it. Overheating of the tool or Battery Pack can also cause this issue; allow them to cool down. Lastly, if the Battery Pack's temperature is too low, gradually warm it up before use.

What to do if Bosch GTS18V-08 Saw cut binds, burns, and stalls motor when ripping?
    • M
      Michael SuttonAug 6, 2025
If your Bosch Saw's cut binds, burns, or stalls the motor while ripping, it could be due to several reasons. The Blade may be dull and needs replacement. If you're using a warped board, ensure the concave side faces down and feed slowly. Also, the Rip Fence might not be parallel to the Blade, or the Riving Knife could be out of alignment.

How to reduce excessive vibration in Bosch GTS18V-08?
    • C
      Courtney CooperAug 10, 2025
Excessive vibration in your Bosch Saw can stem from a few causes. Ensure the Blade Bevel Lock Handle is tightened. An out-of-balance Blade can also cause vibration, so try using a different Blade. Make sure the saw is securely mounted to the stand or workbench by tightening all mounting hardware, and check that the Arbor Nut is properly tightened.

Why is the Blade Bevel Lock Handle Elevation Wheel hard to move on my Bosch Saw?
    • J
      John WhiteAug 14, 2025
The Blade Bevel Lock Handle Elevation Wheel on your Bosch Saw might be hard to move because the Blade Bevel Lock Handle hasn't been loosened. Also, saw dust on the threads of the Threaded Elevation Rod can cause stiffness. Another reason can be that the undercarriage is filled with saw dust. Blow out any dust that has accumulated in the undercarriage, motor, or blade elevation gears.

Why does my Bosch GTS18V-08 Saw have low power?
    • A
      Anna CruzAug 18, 2025
Your Bosch Saw may have low power if you are not using a pro-core pack. For optimal performance, use an 8ah or 12ah Pro Core battery pack. While the saw will function with other batteries, it will operate with reduced power.

What to do if Rip fence will not correctly clamp to rails on Bosch GTS18V-08?
    • C
      Carol GarciaAug 22, 2025
