Why is the operating temperature of my Bosch REXROTH HYDROTRAC GFT 8000 substantially higher than normal?
    • S
      Stephanie WebbAug 5, 2025
If the operating temperature of your Bosch DC Drives is substantially higher than normal, it might be due to the oil level being too high or too low. Allow the planetary gearbox to cool down to approximately 50 °C, then check the oil filling level. Add lubricating oil if needed, or drain off excess oil if the level is too high. Another possible cause is that the lubricating oil is too old or badly contaminated. Check the operating instructions of your system, machine, or vehicle to see when the last oil change occurred, and perform an oil change if necessary, following the procedure described in chapter 10.2 'Inspection'.

What to do if my Bosch DC Drives are leaking oil?
    • A
      Ashley WhiteAug 10, 2025
If you notice oil leaking from your Bosch DC Drives, the cause could be a defective output seal. Check the seals as far as possible and replace them if necessary. If the leak persists, you should notify Rexroth Service. Another reason could be that seals on partition seams or on the locking screws are defective.

Why is the lubricating oil foaming in my Bosch REXROTH HYDROTRAC GFT 8000 DC Drives?
    • A
      Annette HendrixAug 16, 2025
If the lubricating oil in your Bosch DC Drives is foaming, it may be due to incompatibility between the lubricating oil and any oil remains or the preservation oil in the planetary gearbox. To resolve this, replace the lubricating oil and rinse the system with an appropriate purging oil.

      sporterAug 26, 2025
If you observe changed gearbox noises in your Bosch DC Drives, it may be caused by damaged gears. In this case, notify Customer Service and check the toothed components for flaws such as pittings. Let Rexroth Service replace the damaged parts. Another reason could be bearing play. Notify the Rexroth Service. The reason could also be that the bearing is defective.

What causes decreasing brake action in Bosch REXROTH HYDROTRAC GFT 8000?
    • A
      amandafisherAug 31, 2025
If your Bosch DC Drives have decreasing or non-existent brake action, it may be due to thermal overload of the multiple-disk brake. Contact the Rexroth Service and let trained staff or Rexroth Service employees carry out an inspection on the multiple-disk brake, and replace the disks, springs and sealing elements per axle.
