5.3 Description of the brake
Depending on the scope of supply, the planetary gearbox is equipped with a wet-
running, integrated static multiple-disk brake (multiple-disk parking brake).
WARNING
Risk caused by the failure of the static multiple-disk parking brake!
The use of the static multiple-disk parking brake for braking the vehicle may
cause its destruction.
Operate the static multiple-disk parking brake only after a complete stop of
the vehicle.
Always replace the disks, the springs and the sealing elements per axle after a
functional impairment or thermal overload and by any repair work on the
multiple-disk parking brake.
Danger of delayed stopping of the static multiple-disk parking brake!
Delayed application of the static multiple-disk parking brake can lead to
accidental rolling of the vehicle.
Please ensure that the brake line of the static piston is pressureless within
0.5 s.
The multiple-disk brake is a hydraulically released brake. The multiple-disk brake
is used as a parking brake as standard. The parking brake (static multiple-disk
parking brake) is applied via the brake release connection.
The static multiple-disk parking brake acts negatively, i.e. it is released by means
of pressure fluid and applied by spring action when pressureless.
