Filling the planetary gearbox with lubricating oil via the motor side:
Refer to the figure on the left.
• Bore 10: for filling the lubricating oil
• Bore 11: for checking the lubricating oil level
1 Place a catch basin with sufficient capacity under the planetary gearbox.
2 Loosen the screw plug of the bore 10 slowly, so that any existing pressure can
be released.
3 Remove afterwards the screw plugs from the bores 10 and 11.
4 Refer to the technical data sheet in appendix D “Technical data / Drawings” of
the material number-specific operating instructions for information on oil
viscosity and oil capacity.
5 Fill the planetary gearbox with clean lubricating oil via the bore 10. Fill
sufficient lubricating oil until some oil drains from bore 11.
6 Check whether the seals on the screw plug threads of the bores 10 and 11 are
still in perfect condition and can be reused. Replace the damaged seals.
7 Seal the bores 10 and 11 with the corresponding screw plugs.
8 Let the HYDROTRAC GFT 8000 planetary gearbox run for approx. 5-10 minutes.
9 Allow the planetary gearbox cool down to approx. 50 °C after switching off.
10 To check the oil level, loosen the screw plug of the bore 10 slowly, so that any
existing pressure can be released. Remove afterwards the screw plugs from the
bores 10 and 11 again. The oil level is correct if some lubricating oil escapes
from the bore 11 when the planetary gearbox is at standstill.
11 If the oil level is too low, fill lubricating oil via bore 10 until it drains from
bore 11.
12 Check whether the seals on the screw plug threads of the bores 10 and 11 are
still in perfect condition and can be reused. Replace the damaged seals.
13 Seal the bores 10 and 11 with the corresponding screw plugs.
