In the case of GM vehicles, they set Freeze Frame
data as all vehicles using OBD II, but they do
something extra as well. They also set Failure
Records catching multiple DTCs.
In the early days of OBD II for GM vehicles, there
was only one Freeze Frame for the code that was
present. With newer OBD II vehicles, you will find
that there are several Freeze Frames captured for
the DTCs.
