SYMPTOM SOLUTION
Poor or distorted
audio from soundbar
Test dierent sources if available.
Make sure that your TV can output surround sound audio.
Refer to your TV owner’s guide.
If the audio is being played from another device, reduce the volume
of that device.
Adjust the bass level using the Bose8 app (see page 20).
Power o your TV speakers. Refer to your TV owner’s guide.
Check for sound (see page 43).
Run ADAPTiQ audio calibration (see page 15).
Poor or distorted
audio from
bass module
Test dierent sources if available.
Place your bass module according to the placement guidelines.
Refer to your bass module owner’s guide (see page 26).
Remove all protective films from the bass module.
If connected using a 3.5 mm audio cable (not provided), make sure
the cable is connected to the h connector on the back of the
soundbar, not the B or C connector.
Poor or distorted
audio from
surround speakers
Test dierent sources if available.
Place your surround speakers according to the placement guidelines.
Refer to your surround speakers owner’s guide (see page 26).
Make sure that the positive and negative speaker cable wires are
securely inserted into the adapters. Firmly insert the adapters into
the speakers.
If placing the speakers in a cabinet or on a shelf, position them as
close as possible to the front edge of the shelf for optimum
acoustic performance.
Bass is too heavy
or low
Adjust the bass (see page 20).
Move the bass module away from nearby walls and corners.
Place the bass module according to the placement guidelines.
Refer to your bass module owner’s guide (see page 26).
Soundbar doesn’t
play audio from the
correct source or
selects the incorrect
source after a delay
Set CEC to Alternate On using the Bose8 app.
Disable CEC on your source. Refer to the source owner’s guide.
Soundbar and source
don’t power on/o
simultaneously
On the remote, press the source button for the source that is out
of sync.
Press the Power button I to power on/o the source.
