Fibre Channel Ports
System Component Description
Fibre Channel ports 56 SFP+ ports that support any combination of short wavelength (SWL) and long wavelength (LWL)
optical media.
Each of the 56 SFP+ ports supports 8, 10, 16, 32, and 64Gb/s Fibre Channel speeds.
The SFP+ ports are capable of autonegotiating to 8, 16, 32, or 64Gb/s speeds depending on the
SFP+ model and the minimum supported speed of the optical transceiver at the other end of the link.
A 64Gb/s optical transceiver can autonegotiate to 64Gb/s, 32Gb/s, or 16Gb/s.
A 32Gb/s optical transceiver can autonegotiate to 32Gb/s, 16Gb/s, or 8Gb/s.
A 10Gb/s optical transceiver can autonegotiate to 10Gb/s.
ANSI Fibre Channel protocol FC-PH (Fibre Channel Physical and Signaling Interface standard).
Modes of operation Fibre Channel Class 2 and Class 3.
Fabric initialization Complies with FC-SW-3 Rev. 6.6.
Fibre Channel over IP (FCIP) Complies with FC-IP 2.3 of the FCA profile.
Port status
48 LEDs (green/amber) for the first 48 SFP+ ports and 8 tri-color LEDs (green/amber/white) for the
last 8 SFP+ ports: 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, and 62. The last set of LEDs pulse once in white before
indicating the FC port status in green or amber. All functionalities pertaining to the green/amber
colors for the last 8 LEDs remain the same as the first 48 LEDs.
Other Ports
System Component Description
Serial console port UART mini-USB.
Ethernet management port One 100/1000Mb/s Ethernet port.
USB port One external USB port.
