To sew heavy materials
Place the material underneath the presser foot
until it touches the front of the upper knife.
Start sewing.
Do not lift the presser foot while sewing.
To sew fine materials
(1)Adjust the presser foot to prevent the material
from puckering and to allow sewing of curves.
(See next page.)
(2)Loosen the thread tension, but remember that if
the tension is too loose, the thread may break and
stitches may be skipped.
(3)Dull knives will not cut a clean seam, and will also
cause the fabric to pucker. The cutting knives
need to be replaced if you notice the fabric puck-
ering while sewing.
Para coser tejidos gruesos
Coloque el tejido debajo del prensatelas hasta
que toque la parte delantera de la cuchilla supe-
rior.
Empiece a coser.
No levante el prensatelas al coser.
Para coser tejidos finos
(1)Ajuste la presión para que el tejido no se doble y
también para permitir la costura de curvas.

(2)Disminuya la tensión del hilo pero no olvide sin
embargo que si la tensión queda demasiada floja,
el hilo se puede romper y algunas puntadas
podrían saltarse.
(3)Unas cuchillas gastadas no pueden cortar una
costura bien hecha y pueden ocasionar arrugas
en el tejido. Las cuchillas deben ser cambiadas si
nota que el tejido se frunce al coser.
