Send Tone Signals (For Canada)
If you have a Pulse dialing service, but must send Tone signals (for example, for telephone banking), follow these
steps. If you have a Touch Tone service, you will not need this feature to send tone signals.
This feature is available only in Canada.

MFC-J1010DW/MFC-J1012DW
1. Press Hook.
2. Press # on the machine’s control panel. Any digits dialed after this will send tone signals.
When you are finished with the call, the machine will return to the Pulse dialing service.
MFC-J1170DW
1. Press [Fax].
If [Fax Preview] is set to [On], press [Fax] > [Sending Faxes].
2. Press [Hook].
3. Press # on the machine's touchscreen. Any digits dialed after this will send tone signals.
When you are finished with the call, the machine will return to the Pulse dialing service.
