a) To the top of your 2250-M:
i) Connect the microphone cable to the front socket of your Type 2250-M. Please note
that there is a red dot on the underside of the LEMO silver connector and this should
be lined up with the corresponding white dot located on the back panel of your 2250-
M. Please also note that this is a captive plug and the spring - loaded collar on the
silver plug should be used to remove the connection – do not pull on the cable.
b) To the base of your 2250-M:
ii) Insert a memory card. You can use either a Compact Flash (CF) or Secure Digital
(SD) memory card to store both the measured noise results and the sound recordings.
A 512MB SD card is supplied with your system. Smaller and larger capacity cards are
available and please consult our website for advice on “Compatible SD and CF

Please note the SD-cards must be mounted with the card label facing downwards.
iii) Connect the plug of the power cable marked “DC In” to the right-hand socket
marked below.
CAUTION: This plug is captive so that if you wish to remove it, pull on the
knurled part of the plug NOT the cable or protruding part of the plug.
iv) Connect the plug of the cable marked “Trigger” to the centre socket marked in the
diagram above.
