6.3 Enabling Master-Slave Guiding
The Master-Slave Guiding is enabled using the DIL switch S6.6 on
the processor board of the ekr 500 digital Unit Touch controller.

Before opening the controller, switch off the power supply.

Set DIL switch S6.6 on the processor board of the controller to
position ON.
The procedure for setting the DIL switch is described in the
installation and commissioning manual of the ekr 500 digital
Unit Touch controller (document number MD.497).
6.4 Performing the Material Setup
In order to achieve optimal guiding results, you have to carry out a
material setup for each of the sensors connected (Sensor 1 to
Sensor 4) during the initial commissioning of the Master-Slave
Guiding (see Performing the Material Setup, page 35).
During the material setup the controller is automatically adjusted
to the properties of the material to be scanned.
