9 Storage, transport and disposal
This section instructs how to handle the instrument for storage or transport, and gives advice on
disposal.
NOTICE
Risk of instrument damage at transport
• Engage the transportation lock before storing, transport and re-packaging
• Only transport the instrument in original packaging
• Keep shocks and vibrations away
• Safely store and transport accessories separately
9.1 Storage and transport
The NIRMaster weights approx. 43-50 kg (depending on the system configuration and accessories).
Manual handling of the instrument requires a second person!

WARNING
Risk of injury by heavy weight of the instrument.
• A second person is mandatory for transport
• Do not drop the instrument or its transport box
• Place the instrument on a stable, even and vibration-free surface
• Keep limbs out of crushing zone
NOTE
Clean the instrument thoroughly before storage or transport. Store and transport the instrument in its
original packaging. When returning the instrument to BUCHI fill out the „Health and Safety Clearance“
form and safely attach it at the outside of the transport box.
