Setting the User Bit
The user bit can be selected from the date or the time of recording, or an identification code consisting of
8 characters in the hexadecimal system. There are sixteen possible characters: the numbers 0 to 9 and the
letters A to F. The user bit is recorded with XF-AVC clips and can be output from the SDI OUT terminal
(u only) and HDMI OUT terminal.
Setting an Hexadecimal Code
1 Open the [User Bit Settings] screen.
> [3 # Recording Setup] > [User Bit Type] > [ Setting] > [i]
The user bit setting screen appears with an orange selection frame on the leftmost character.
Select [Reset] to reset the user bit to [00 00 00 00] and return to the previous screen.
2 Select a character you want to change and then select [Î] or [Í] to change it as necessary.
Change the rest of the characters in the same way.
3 Select [OK] and then select [X].
Select [Cancel] to close the screen without changing the user bit.
Using the Date or Time
1 Select [User Bit Type].
> [3 # Recording Setup] > [User Bit Type]
2 Select [ Date] or [ Time] and then select [X].
