(8) Compressor overload, diacharge protection malfunction
Main checking points:
Is there a refrigerant leak
Is the eletronic expansion valve connected correctly or broken
Is the overload protector broken
Flow chart:
Eliminate the malfunction

Is the overload protector connected correctly?
yes
yes
Check the resistance across the overload
protector? Is it less than 1k ohms?
Is the electronic expansion valve
connected correctly?
Replace the
overload
protector
Check the coil of the
electronic valve, replace
it if broken.
Eliminate the malfunction
Reconnect according
to the wiring diagram
Check for refrigerant leak, recharge
according to the Service Manual after
the leak is corrected.
Note: All 5 segments of the electronic expansion coil should measure within 100 ohm.
