10.1 L1 POLARITY FAULT - Rapid flash LED.
Polarity of incoming 115V power is reversed.
Check for:
- Correct line voltage (115V) wiring polarity at each
junction.
- If units are twinned, check for proper low-voltage
(24V) transformer phasing.
12.1 “W” ON at power up – Normal operation.
Blower runs for 90 seconds, if unit is powered
up during a call for heat (R-W closed) or when
(R-W opens) during the blower on-delay period.
13.1 LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKOUT – Lockout occurs
If the limit, draft safeguard, flame rollout, or
blocked vent switch*(if used) is open longer
than 3 minutes. Control will auto-reset after
3 hours. See code 33.
23.1 STUCK MAIN pressure switch
Check for:
- Obstructed pressure tube.
- Pressure switch stuck closed.
31.6 HIGH-HEAT PRESSURE SWITCH OR RELAY DID NOT
CLOSE OR REOPENED
31.7 HIGH HEAT ONLY FOR NEXT CYCLE - High pressure
switch failed to close in 75s when transitioning from low
to high heat.
Check for:
- Control relay may be defective.
- Gas v alve is m iswired.
- See status code 32.2
33.1 A SWITCH HAS OPENED IN THE MAIN LIMIT –
Indicates the limit, draft safeguard, flame rollout, or
blocked vent shutoff switch* (if used) is open. Blower will
run for 4 minutes or until open switch remakes whichever
is longer. If open longer than 3 minutes, code changes
to lockout #13. If open less than 3 min. status code #33
continues to flash until blower shuts off. Flame rollout
switch and BVSS requires manual reset.
33.2 LOCKOUT - High Heat Only for current cycle.
Check for:
- Dirty filter or restricted duct system
- Loose blower wheel
- Defective switch or connections
- Defective blower motor or capacitor
- Inadequate combustion air supply (flame rollout switch
open)
- Restricted vent
- Proper vent sizing
- Excessive wind
45.1 CONTROL FAILURE – flame circuit
fault, memory mismatch or sequence
error.
45.2 CONTROL FAILURE – gas valve relay
will not close.
45.3 CONTROL FAILURE – EEPROM
memory issue.
45.4 CONTROL FAILURE - Loss of
communications
For code 45, cycle power, if code 45 repeats,
replace control.
Only the MAJOR flash code is seen through the sight glass on door.
* Blocked vent shutoff switch used in Chimney Adapter Kit
46.1 MOMENTARY LOSS of power –
Heating operation will stop and will
restart once the power fluctuation is
resolved.
14.1 IGNITION LOCKOUT – System failed to ignite
gas and prove flame in 4 attempts. Control will
auto-reset after 3 hours. See status code 34.1.
14.2 FLAME LOST LOCKOUT – Flame signal was
lost 3 times after heating blower on delay.
Control will auto-reset after 3 hours. See status
code 34.6 to 34.8.
14.3 FLAME LOST LOCKOUT – Flame signal was
lost 7 times during a single heat request. See
status code 34.6 to 34.8.
14.4 LPS OPEN LOCKOUT – LPS open 7 times
during a single heat request. See status code
34.1
Check for (applies to all):
- Correct manifold pressure and gas firing rate
- Gas inlet pressure fluctuations
- See Code 34 for additional help
43.1 LOW-HEAT PRESSURE SWITCH
OPEN WHILE HIGH-HEAT
PRESSURE SWITCH IS CLOSED
Check for:
- Low-heat pressure switch stuck open.
- Disconnected or obstructed pressure
tube.
- Low inlet gas pressure (if LGPS used).
52.1 SAT OPEN - Supply Air Temperature
sensor connection is open
52.2 SAT SHORT - Supply Air Tempera ture
sensor wires are shorted
Check for:
- Loose connection at control board screw
terminals.
- Cut or shorted wires to the SAT.
- Da
maged SAT sensor
52.1 RAT OPEN - Return Air Temperature
sensor connection is open
52.2 RAT SHORT - Return Air Temperature
sensor is shorted
Check for:
- RAT firmly plugged into control board.
- Da
maged RAT sensor
19.1 INTELISENSE™ COMMUNICATION LOSS -
Loss of InteliSense communications with the
thermostat.
NOTE: This fault will not be displayed until after
InteliSense communications has been established for
the first time. The steps below are for both initial lack
of InteliSense communications or loss of InteliSense
communications.
Check for:
- Connection for R and Y wires to control and
thermostat.
- Refer to thermostat advanced installation and
configuration instructions found at
Carrier.hvacpartners.com/InteliSense for system
setup and troubleshooting tips.
15.1 BLOWER RPM LOCKOUT - Lockout occurs
when no blower rpm is detected.
Check for:
- Loose blower wire connections
- Failed blower motor
41.1 NO BLOWER RPM - No blower rpm at
startup
41.2 NO BLOWER RPM - No blower rpm
when blower motor is running.
Check for:
- Loose
blower wire connections
- Fai
led blower motor.
32.2 LOW-HEAT PRESSURE SWITCH DID NOT CLOSE OR
REOPENED - If open longer than 5 minutes, inducer
shuts off for 15 minutes before retry. If opens during
blower on-delay period, blower will come on for the
selected blower off-delay. On two-stage furnaces, if the
low-heat pressure switch opens within five minutes after
the main gas valve input turned ON, the new heating
cycle SHALL be restricted to high-heat for the next cycle
only, even if low-heat only is selected. 32.2 will continue
to be shown during the forced high heat cycle.
Check for:
- Proper vent sizing
- Low inducer voltage (115V)
- Low inlet gas pressure (if LGPS used)
- Inadequate combustion air supply
- Disconnected or obstructed pressure tubing
- Defective inducer motor
- Defective pressure switch
- Excessive wind
- Restricted vent
