Takenoteofthelocationsofpipes/cablesbeforestarting
work.Electricalcables,gasandwaterpipesandother
undergroundinstallationscancauseseriousinjury.
Modifyyourdrivingtosuitworkingconditions(slopingor
roughground),thenatureofthegroundandweathercon-
ditions.
Onsteeplyslopingground,keepengineatmaximum
speed.
Whentravellingatrightanglestotheslope,moveonto
theslopeatlowspeed.Neverreduceenginespeedwhen
travellingdownslopes.
Holes,obstacles,debrisandotherdangerrisksinthe
workingareacancauseseriousinjury.Inspectandnote
allpossiblerisksbeforedrivingthemachineinanew
workingarea.
Donotworknearoverheadhigh-voltageelectriclines
withoutcheckingbeforehandthatallnecessarymeasures
havebeentakentorespecttheminimumdistances:
Lessthan57000volts:3m(9.8ft).
Morethan57000volts:5m(16.4ft).
Neverhitorpushmaterialwiththesidesofthebucket.
Neversweepthegroundwiththebuckettolevelrubble.
Whenoperatingthecontrollevers,awhistlingsoundwill
beheardifthecontrolleverisheldinpositionwhilethe
correspondingcylinderisattheendofitsstroke.Inthis
casereleasethecontrollever.
Ifearthormudstaysstuckinsidethebucket,openand
closethebucketseveraltimessoastoloosentheearth
orthemud.
Afterwork,removeanymudandcleanthemachine.
Whenusingtheupperstructureswing,neverchangethe
directionofswingtoosuddenly.
Whenclimbingupaslope,placethebucketabout40cm
(15.7in)abovetheground.Whentravellingdownaslope
itisrecommendedtoplacethebucketonthegroundto
preventthemachinefromsliding.
Avoidturningthemachineonsteepslopes.
Neverswingtheupperstructureonslopesof15°inthe
directionoftravelor10°atrightanglestothedirectionof
travel.
Thefollowingoperationsarelikelytodamagethe
machine.Youarethereforeadvisedtoavoidthem:

Operation
ATTENTION:Donotoperatetheenginewiththemachine
at35°.Theengineorhydraulicdevicesmaybedam-
aged.
Themaximumslopeclimbingabilityis35°70%.This
valuevariesdependingonthetracktypeandtheroad
surface,limittravellingtoslopesof30°orless.
1.Sitintheoperator'sseatandadjustitsothatallthe
controlsarereadilyaccessiblethenfastenyoursafety
belt.
2.Makesurethecabdoorisrmlylatchedintheopen
orclosedposition.
3.Soundthehorn.
4.Starttheengine,takingintoconsiderationtheprevail-
ingweatherconditions.
5.Checkallindicatorlampsandgaugesareoperating
correctly.
6.Pushthefunctioncancellationleverforward(safety
barinoutwardposition).
7.Tryoutallthecontrolsinasafe,openarea.
