1. Ensure the key setting is at “440.0Hz”. If it's not, change it or turn the Digital Piano off and back on.
2. Adjust the Digital Piano tuning, or turn it off and then back on again.
3. Set the octave shift to 0.
4. Change the temperament setting to “00: Equal”, which is the standard modern tuning.

What to do if tones sound strange on Casio Musical Instrument?
S
Sharon GarciaAug 2, 2025
If tones and/or effects sound strange on your Casio Musical Instrument, and turning it off and on doesn't help (for example, note intensity doesn't change when you alter key pressure), it might be because the “Auto Resume” feature is turned on. Turn off “Auto Resume”, then turn the power off and on again.

A
andersonaaronAug 7, 2025
If no sound comes from your Casio Musical Instrument when you press a key, make sure of the following:
1. The VOLUME controller isn't set to “MIN”. If it is, rotate it towards “MAX”.
2. Nothing is plugged into the PHONES jacks. If something is, disconnect it.
3. MIDI Local control is turned on. If it is off, turn it on.
4. The Speaker Out is set to “Auto”. If it is off, change it.
5. The Keyboard Volume is set to something other than 0. If it is 0, change it.

Why does it take so long to turn on my Casio Digital Piano?
B
brewersusanAug 22, 2025
If it takes a long time before you can use your Casio Digital Piano after turning it on, it could be due to corrupted memory data from a data transfer operation in progress when the Digital Piano was last turned off. The Digital Piano then performs a memory format operation, which takes about 20 seconds. Wait until it is complete before attempting any other operation, and avoid turning off the Digital Piano during data transfers.
