Example of RS485 E-bus network
Example with the CTV900A no longer the start point
This example depicts an existing
RS485 E-bus network with 1 CAA470A
and 2 CAA480A to which we are adding
a CAA470A after the initial installation.
In our example the END POINT, the
CAA480A, is at 914m (3000ft) from
the CTV900A and the new CAA470A
module you would like to add is 30m
(100ft) from the CTV900A.
The exibility of the RS485 E-bus
network jumpers permits you to
locate the new CAA470A close to the
CTV900A by simply re-conguring
jumper settings of the new START
POINT and what was the start point
before.
This permits you to have a 30m (100ft)
cable run instead of 914m (3000ft).
